Welcome to Pom Finder
I am Sharon Marie Pom Finder's Site Manager.
I was born in Lansing, Michigan. During early high school I lived in Lakeland, Florida. I returned to Lansing, Michigan in 1960. I have a brother one year older and a sister two years younger. While growing up I liked to water ski and swim. Fishing was one of my pastimes as well. I graduated Lansing Eastern High School Class of 1962. I attended Muskegon Community College. Courses included Philosophy, Quality Control and Data Processing. Services I provide for those who ask are photography, graphic design, advertising Pomeranians, interior design and artifact restoration.

My husband Jim was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He joined the army after he finished high school and was in the 11th Cavalry. He served two tours in Vietnam and was decorated for valor. After serving in the military he attended Milwaukee School of Engineering. He became General Manager, VP of a Fortune 500 Div. In 1980 he moved to Muskegon, Michigan. He was GM/VP of Muskegon Cast products. He now is a stay at home person and keeps me company.

We met and fell in love on a carriage ride in Southhaven, Michigan. We had a Las Vegas wedding/honeymoon. He has been courting me ever since.

Jim and I have six children, Rob, Timothy, Nancy, Douglas, Craig & Bobby. Grandchildren include Noah, Monica, Christine, Andrew, Jessica, Eric, Miranda, Naomi, Caitlyn, Alexis, Stephen, Ashley, Brock, Bobby Jr. Jacob and Kadence.
We have one greatgranddaughter Ryliegh.
The children and I went to the beach often during the early years. I think that West Michigan is a beautiful place to bring up a family.

By the grace of God, I still have both of my parents. My mother lives in the state of Washington and my My father is in Lansing, Michigan. My father retired from Oldsmobile many years ago and now carves wood, hosts a HAM radio club. He is active in the VFW and is a talented painter and wood carver.

There is no doubt that we are more than Pomeranian enthusiasts. The previous paragraphs attest to the diversity of our life experiences. However, we would be remiss if we did not share how we got started with this full time Pomeranian obsession.

It was in 1991 that my husband Jim fell in love with a puppy in a pet store. It was a Pomeranian. The first Pom was Bear, a red and black Pom. I started reading everything I could get my hands on about Pomeranians. Shortly after Bear came Missy, another red Pom. Brandy, a cream colored Pom, was brought home from a kennel. She was nearly three years old. Then came Bandit a tri-color Pom. Brandy had puppies and we kept Skipper. Skipper died from kidney failure. We were very sad when Skipper died. Subsequently my husband came home with Sugar, an orange Pom. My friend Carolyn has a black Pom named Jangles. Sugar and Jangles were bred. She had a black puppy and an orange one. We kept the black puppy and named him Gentle Ben because he was so quiet and sweet. Now he is a playful "spit-fire".

I no longer breed Poms but they are a big part of my life. I started a web site devoted at first to my own Poms. It didn't take long before the site branched out to include many other Poms. I have talked to many breeders. I have gathered information from all over the world about Poms. They are a unique breed. The color change alone is enough to make one curious about them.

I have many friends because of my Pomeranians. We lean on each other in times of sorrow when one of our furry little buddies dies. We give advice on training, grooming, travel. shows, conformation, etc. Our web site is devoted to them and their masters. We attempt to unite Poms with people to love them and vice versa.
My recent creation is PetPen.net. We hope to accomplish even more with this new site.
